It's the end of June and summer vacation is near... Aaaaahhhh! And only a little over a month to go before you can find our new products in stores. We just approved the final TV commercial for our biggest product this fall, and we put together a short teaser for you! Visit the Movies section to get a glimpse of the star of the show! We're baaaack
Hi all!
Well, it's been a while! Time flies when you're having fun - and we can see what YOU have been doing in that time - it's amazing how many fantastic models we see in the Gallery, and we are flooded with questions! And almost 1.5 million of you have watched the Behind the Design movie! We're so happy to see how excited you are about the Design Studio, and although we can't answer all the questions we receive, we will keep posting new Q&As as fast as we can. So keep them coming! We love hearing from you.
Now, I'm sure you're wondering what we have been doing all this time. Well, we finished and approved the final version of the TV commercial for our biggest product launch in August. We had a lot of fun shooting the commercial, and we can't wait to see and hear your reactions when you see the product. We'll give you a sneak preview in the movies section before it goes live :-)
We are also working on a whole new section about Power Functions. The plan is to give Power Functions its own site here on LEGO.com by August this year. So there is a lot of planning and production going on for that as well.
2010 may seem like a long way away, but for the design team, it's just around the corner, and we have started planning for what themes and areas we want to explore now. You can always write to us in the Ask A Designer section and let us know what kind of TECHNIC models you would like to see!

New TECHNIC designer
We are so busy in the TECHNIC design team at the moment, and we just added a new designer to our team. Maarten Simons (who will be buying cake for the entire TECHNIC team now that he has had his profile added to Bios) is originally from Belgium, and he looks forward to answering your questions. So visit the Bios section to meet Maarten, and stay tuned for more updates :-)

New member of the TECHNIC web team
I would like you to meet a new member of our TECHNIC web team: Jeppe Juul Jensen!
Jeppe is a TECHNIC building instructions wizard, and he is not exactly new to the TECHNIC team. He's been working here for three years now. But since some of you have asked questions about building instructions, we thought it would make perfect sense to have Jeppe answer those questions! So here he is: meet Jeppe in the Bios section. He has already answered a question a lot of you have asked in the Ask a Designer section, so make sure you check that, too!

Happy April 1st
Happy April 1st, everyone!
What a fantastic couple of weeks we've had in the TECHNIC team. And this is definitely not an April Fools joke! On behalf of everybody, I want to say thank you for the creative, funny, amazing pictures you have uploaded to our Gallery. Please keep them coming! It's so much fun for us to see what you like to build.
And thank you for all the questions and comments you have sent to us in the Ask a Designer section. You can find the first questions and answers in Ask a Designer. We wish we had time to answer all your questions, but stay tuned, we will answer as many as we possibly can.
Many of you have asked what we are working on right now. Well, we are not allowed to tell you exactly what models we are working on at the moment - that's still a secret... We are working hard on making the final adjustments to the models we are launching in the fall. In a couple of months, we can tell you a lot more. We are getting ready to shoot our fall TV commercial next week. It's a model Lars has designed, and we are sure you'll be just as excited about it as we are! Lars is making duplicate models as we speak, in case we need a stunt double ;-)
A cake right now would not go amiss...

We're live with Design Studio!
Hi, I’m Niels Henrik, Marketing Manager on LEGO TECHNIC. Welcome to TECHNIC Design Studio!
You have already watched the Behind Design movie, of course. We got so much great feedback on the movie that we decided to create the online Design Studio. It's been in the pipelines for some time, but now we can finally show and tell you a little more about what we do.
You can meet our design team in the Designer Bios section, we will keep you updated with events and ideas in this blog - and we would like to hear from you! You can sign in to Club pages to ask us your questions. Just go to Ask a Designer. If you're not already a LEGO Club member, it's easy and free to sign up.
And have you noticed the Gallery? It's brand new, so take the opportunity to be among the first to upload pictures of your own designs.
